Online Certificates
Online Certificates is a value
added service that DeWitt Stern Group provides to clients in good
standing who have the need to issue certificates of insurance
immediately, conveniently, and nationally. What does this mean for
our clients? You can have certificates issued at any time, 24/7, as
long as you have a computer and an internet connection. Certificates
can be printed, faxed, or emailed to an equipment vendor, property
owner, car rental agency, or any legitimate entity that may need
one.
Here are 2 ways that our clients are using DeWitt Stern Group’s
Online Certificates service:
Film Production Company A …on location for a week’s shoot at a
Montana horse ranch. The ranch owner hasn’t received his certificate
including him as an additional insured from Mr. Film Producer. What?
Film rolls in 5 minutes! No problem…Let’s mosey on into the ranch
house where Mr. Rancher has a computer and access to the Internet,
connect to DeWitt Stern Group’s webpage, click on the Online
Certificates link. Voila! With a name, address, and a few key
strokes, a certificate is issued and printed before the director can
say “roll’em.”
Big City 60 unit Condominium Building …at a condo unit closing on
July 3, 4:00 pm, right before a 3 day Independence Day weekend.
Mortgage company representative announces that they’re missing
evidence of insurance for the building. Where is it? An argument
ensues as to when, where and to whom the certificate was sent and
the buyer wrings his hands in anxiety as hopes of moving into his
new home that weekend diminishes. Wait! Shouts the building manager
as he turns to his terminal and logs on to the DeWitt Stern Group
web page. A couple of mouse clicks later, a certificate of insurance
for the condo building pops out of the printer. Online Certificates
saves the closing and the sale goes through.
