The Three Cs Stewardship Model

Cost and risk containment are key components of your benefits strategy. When we begin our partnership with you, we recommend an audit of all financial data pertaining to your benefits.  We use our findings to identify future potential risks. Among the areas we explore are contribution models, funding arrangements, lifestyle risks and the prospective impact on future claims. Based on your anticipated liability, we work to implement plans that can make a difference.

For example, we

  • Evaluate plan enrollment and population to determine the best contribution model.
  • Examine funding arrangements to understand their impact on overall plan costs.
  • Use information from our data management system and employees' participation in Health Risk Assessments to identify lifestyle risks.

This information enables us to pinpoint potential risks and then help implement education and wellness programs tailored to the client's work force.

Communication is the second component of your benefits strategy. We work with clients to develop communication strategies and implementation plans that help them achieve their objectives. These may range from a single-focus strategy, such as a new medical option, to integrated strategies that roll out several new plans over a period of time.

To support your communication efforts, we offer our clients:

  • Monthly wellness newsletters,
  • Annual enrollment and plan promotion materials, and
  • Timely educational information.
  • A secure Benefits/HR portal, where clients can access current legislative and health news, ready-to-use communication and reporting pieces, a national database, and a forum for HR professionals.

Compliance is the third component of your benefits strategy. We provide clients with effective solutions for compliance issues they may be facing, outlining responsibilities and action items for plan sponsors.
